What You Can Do In Here
You can just browse around, in which case you needn't sign up. If you have been invited here because you are part of a working group, advisory group, or a task force that I am working with, please - in addition to joining this network as a whole - join that particular subgroup. You will be asked for your email address and a password. I recommend using something that you can definitely remember. Perhaps something related to your SCUP identity and password that you use to log in to purchase a book or register for a conference.
If you sign up, you can do things like create your own page and identity; post forum discussion topics and comment; send and receive messages from 'friends'; leave comments for people; add events to the calendar; upload photos and videos; create and post to a blog; and more. Most of it is customizable by the user as to who can view or access it.
We don't know which functionalities will be most useful, so we've created a potpourri from which network users can choose. One potentially useful functionality is the ability to create public or private groups, within which there can be discussions and other communication.
Don't ever hesitate to contact me if you get stuck by something in here: terry.calhoun@scup.org or (734) 998-7027.
